That is why, when we talk about sustainable golf in Mallorca, we prefer to focus on concrete actions. Decisions that form part of our everyday activity, from water management to the energy we use throughout our facilities.

They are also reflected in our relationship with Mallorca, in the way we make use of resources and in projects closely connected to our gastronomy.

How do we manage water on our golf course?

Water is one of the essential resources involved in maintaining a golf course. On an island such as Mallorca, its management becomes even more important.

At Pula Golf Resort, we use recycled water to irrigate the course, incorporating the reuse of this resource into the day-to-day care of the course.

It is one of the measures that forms part of the way we manage the course and understand its relationship with the surrounding landscape.

Many of these decisions are barely noticeable during a round. That is precisely the point: they become part of the way the resort operates while players focus on what matters most — enjoying the course.

Energy efficiency across the resort

Our commitment extends beyond the golf course.

We have introduced LED lighting throughout our facilities and also use solar panels. Geothermal and aerothermal systems also form part of our approach to energy management.

We also provide an electric vehicle charging point for our guests.

These measures are integrated into the resort’s everyday operations and allow us to continue introducing solutions aimed at managing resources more responsibly.

Sustainability does not need to transform the guest experience in order to be part of it. Quite often, the opposite is true: it works in the background, shaping the way we manage each stay.

From the kitchen garden to S’Era: making better use of resources

Our approach to sustainability also extends to gastronomy.

Our 6,000 m² organic kitchen garden partially supplies S’Era de Pula with seasonal produce, creating a direct connection between what the land provides and what is later prepared in the kitchen.

And the cycle continues.

Some of the organic waste generated by the restaurant is used to feed our ducks and hens. Their eggs are then used within our activity, while surplus produce from the kitchen garden is donated to local organisations.

It is a practical way of applying circular economy principles: making better use of resources and giving a second purpose to what can still be valuable.

A philosophy that is particularly easy to understand around the table, but which forms part of a much broader vision.

Our connection with Mallorca

Caring for our surroundings also means maintaining a close relationship with the place we are part of.

We work with local produce and suppliers from Mallorca, strengthening a connection that is also reflected in our gastronomy and in the identity of the resort.

We also collaborate with municipal organisations and maintain our commitment to training and employment.

For us, sustainability is not limited to environmental considerations. It is also about how we relate to our immediate surroundings and to the people who are part of them.
